About Olomi
Habib Olomi, a renowned Afghan artist, uses his artistic skill to encourage tolerance among people and societies. Olomi picked up a brush at the age of 4, and now his paintings appear in different sites and halls in Kabul and around the globe.
In 2012, Olomi was invited by the government of Afghanistan and the President of the country Hamid Karzai to create murals and projects in his homeland, Afghanistan. He did, and he was awarded with a medal and a golden certificate as “The Best Afghan Artist.”
He has created pieces for high-profile clients from Hollywood to Bollywood, including Mike Tyson, Madonna, Matt Damon, the Marleys, Tom Hanks, Dr. Florance Harding, Dr. Hasan Kakar, the Loy Khan Foundation, and others. His art is beautiful, emotional, and inspiring.
His main goal is to “leave the earth and the World of Art a much better place” than he was born into. He has also been actively supporting many individuals still in Afghanistan who are at risk of Taliban persecution.
The Taliban doesn't like artists like Olomi, who care for the world and encourage creative expression with strong opinions and inclusive messages.
